Types of Sponsorship

SPONSOR A HOMEOWNER
Homeowner sponsorship is an opportunity for individuals, groups, or businesses to assist prospective homeowners in the home buying process. Sponsorship of a homeowner provides direct assistance to low and moderate-income individuals and families enrolled in NDF’s home-buyer training, Land-lording, and Financial Fitness programs. You can help NDF promote home-ownership in New Orleans by supporting these programs: Homeowner education and counseling Sponsorship, financial support of NDF, and/or by offering an Employee Home ownership Counseling Service (EHOCS) as a benefit to personnel in your organization.

NDF needs and always welcomes financial support. All contributions made to NDF, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Cash, equipment, services, and in-kind donations to NDF are acceptable. A relatively small donation can help MANY prospective homeowners.

BENEFITS OF HOMEOWNER SPONSORSHIP:
Sponsors are kept abreast of progress made by prospective homeowners through periodic reports from NDF. The Foundation also recognizes sponsors through the Donor Listing in the NDF Quarterly Newsletter, which is mailed to over 5,000 residents and businesses across the New Orleans area. Special recognition is also given at the NDF annual House Party Fundraiser.

HOMEOWNER SPONSORSHIP:
The extent of sponsorship is at the discretion of participating sponsors. As a result, you see your donations help people become homeowners. A sponsorship can be as minimal as assistance with instructional materials, or as substantial as direct financial assistance to the candidates.

IT’S ALL UP TO YOU!
The NDF staff will keep you informed of how your sponsorship money is assisting low and moderate-income families in purchasing their own homes.
